	Ensure that not only your alarm system is monitored back to base, but ensure that it is regularly maintained (call 1300 131 508 to find out how we can assist here)
	Make sure that your Protect 24 Security warning stickers are placed well around the perimeter of your property. These are a great deterrent for burglars.
	Have your local Police Station phone number programmed into your home phone.
	Keep a register of your valuable and electronic equipment by serial number and if possible mark them with your drivers license number using an ultra violet pen.
	Ensure dead locks are installed on every external door.
	Don’t allow young children to answer the door.
	Install motion lighting sensors around your main entry points.
	Never have names and addresses on household keys.
	Ensure that trees and scrubs around entry points to the house are not clouding these allowing intruders to hide in these whilst gaining access.
	Don't leave ladders or other tools around your property that may assist an intruder
